As a Kit Process Coordinator, you’ll manage and coordinate the kitting process to ensure materials, repaired components, subcontracted items, and purchased parts are available and delivered on schedule for engine production and maintenance activities. You’ll work cross-functionally with production, engineering, purchasing, suppliers, and customer service teams to support operational efficiency and production timelines.
What you’ll do:
- Develop and maintain kitting schedules to support production and customer delivery requirements
- Coordinate with internal teams, suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure timely material and component availability
- Monitor and expedite pacing items, repairs, exchanges, and parts orders to meet designated kit dates
- Maintain kitting tracking systems and update forecasts, work-in-process status, and throughput data
- Ensure compliance with work instructions, production requirements, and quality standards
- Verify proper placement and organization of components onto engine kit trays
- Identify scheduling or workflow issues and support corrective actions and process improvements
- Generate kitting performance metrics and support operational improvement initiatives
- Follow all applicable safety procedures and report unsafe conditions
- Support special projects and additional operational activities as assigned
Basic Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in production planning, inventory coordination, scheduling, production control, or operations support in a manufacturing, aerospace, logistics, or industrial environment
- Minimum of 1 year of experience coordinating workflows or operational activities across multiple departments
- Minimum of 1 year of professional experience using Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Experience maintaining production records, tracking systems, inventory data, or operational documentation
- Experience participating in process improvement or workflow optimization initiatives
- Ability to read and interpret production schedules, work instructions, and operational documentation in English
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work onsite in a manufacturing or operations setting, with or without reasonable accommodation
Desired Skills
- Associate degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field
- Experience using ERP, MRP, or inventory management systems
- Knowledge of kitting, manufacturing, aerospace, or inventory management operations
- Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills
- Experience working with suppliers, subcontractors, or cross-functional teams
- Ability to identify process inefficiencies and support operational improvements
