The Manufactured Revenue Analyst position, within the Revenue Management branch’s Manufactured Revenue team, will assist in projects and analysis supporting the new revenue opportunities, including the optimal pricing & bundling of flights and ancillaries. This position will combine data analysis, modeling, and experimentation to answer key business questions while collaborating with diverse stakeholders.Responsibilities:
Design & conduct experiments to test new pricing conceptsManipulate & analyze large datasets to draw relevant conclusions, and communicate the information to support the commercial decision-making processPerform deep dive analysis into spanet trends, experiment results, and model outputs, combining analytical reasoning and commercial knowledge to highlight problems, implications, and potential solutionsDevelop insightful tools and processes to support revenue management user workflows, assist in report development and with integration to user day-to-day activitiesParticipate in large projects, working closely with internal & external partnersLead the implementation of recommendations affecting large parts of the network and monitor rolled out actionsBe a key player in the assessment, selection, testing, and implementation of new tools and system changes in support of Air Canada’s business modelAssist in the development, calibration, & maintenance of a new Offer Optimization system through data exploration, analysis, and communication of business needsSupport additional commercial analyses and projects, as required to improve revenue generation
QualificationsMaster’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Engineering, or equivalentStrong interpersonal skills with an ability to work autonomouslyAbility to explain mathematical concepts & analyses in understandable languageAbility to cope with changing priorities and tight deadlinesConceptual, analytical, and problem-solving skills supported by creative thinkingExperience with creative data exploration, analysis, and model buildingFamiliarity with hypothesis testing and experimental designAbility to manipulate and analyze large datasets and transform them into clear business insights (Python, R, SQL, or other programming languages)Demonstrate punctuality and dependability to support overall team success in a fast-paced environment
AssetsExperience with origin-destination revenue management toolsExperience with predictive modeling or machine learningExperience in revenue management, forecasting, optimization & data modelingExperience with ancillary product managementExperience with Power BI or similar reporting tools
